Amazon Prime Day is back – 12 July to 13 July to be exact. If you’ve never shopped the sale before, chances are you’ve heard about it, as the global retailer whips the digital world into a 48-hour buying frenzy with sale prices lower than any other Amazon sale of the year. The hype is real, but also overwhelming, with exclusive Prime user discounts available across seemingly every category of the site, much of which are available with Prime’s unlimited one-day delivery, as well as Amazon Prime Video, Music and Reading.

- Sign up: The sale is exclusive to Amazon Prime users, so it’s worth opting into the free 30-day trial ahead of the event, which can be cancelled at any time.
- Save items in advance: You can save items you’ve got your eye on into lists, making it easier to find and purchase them on the day.
- Shop local: Amazon is offering the chance to win up to £5,000 when you buy from one of their small local businesses.
